Web LIAS Example

GPATS is now offering an online Lightning Incident Archive Search (LIAS) service. For a monthly fee customers will be able to log on at any time, perform a LIAS, and receive the results via email within 5 minutes.

 

Features of the online LIAS service include:

  • Search durations of up to 24 hours from a given search date/time.
  • Search radii of up to 50km from a given set of coordinates.
  • Option to include/exclude cloud to cloud strikes.
  • Option to include/exclude lightning stroke timeline.
  • Option to order results by date/time or by proximity to search coordinates.

Users will also be able to view their search history and the current status of any new searches they have submitted. For information on how to set up a LIAS account, please contact GPATS.
