Monthly Subscription and LIAS Pricing

The MAP INFO DISPLAY SYSTEM (MIDS) is a Windows application program designed specifically for the display and manipulation of lightning data from the GPATS lightning network. The display consists of a number of windows, and the program is controlled and operated from the main window, which contains the menu and control buttons. This control window is the program, along with one map display window. All other windows can be switched on or off as the user desires. Closing the control bar window will terminate the MIDS program. All windows can be re-sized or iconised as the user desires in typical Windows fashion. All windows contain standard buttons associated with any other Windows application program for closing, iconising, or making the window full screen.

The program uses all of the Windows controls, such as file management, color palettes and printer controls. This program is designed to be in a multi-tasking role and, as such, can be connected and operated in the background while other Windows application programs are operating.

GPATS Services Pricing

GPATS service agreement incorporate two pricing components:

  1. A once only software fee for GPATS proprietary software.
  2. A monthly subscription fee relating to supply of data stream.

GPATS proprietary software:

For installation and use of MIDS lightning tracking software and MIDS Server, data stream server software for use by customer to distribute data stream throughout the customer organization. This charge covers ongoing upgrades or enhancements to software provided to customer.

GPATS monthly subscription fee:

  • One License represents one instance of MIDS installed and collecting GPATS data stream.

  • Multiple licences represent multiple instances of MIDS displays collecting data stream from one instance of Mids Server collecting GPATS data stream.

Lightning Incident Archive Search

  • A 24 hour lightning incident search is available to the public by contacting GPATS.

  • Automated web LIAS accounts are also available to businesses.
